Looking to start or return to hockey as an adult? The Ottawa West Beginner Hockey League (OWBHL) is Ottawa’s top adult co-ed recreational hockey program, proudly serving Kanata, Stittsville, and Ottawa’s west end.
Whether you’re a first-time skater or a returning player, our league offers a safe, fun, and non-contact environment to learn, play, and grow your skills. We fully support women trying hockey for the first time or returning to the game!

Build your confidence and technique with structured drills focused on skating, puck control, passing, and shooting — guided by experienced coaches.

✅ Power Skating & Formal Training Clinics
Take your skating to the next level with balance, edge control, and agility training. Our next Power Skating Clinic begins this Fall — perfect for all skill levels.

✅ 3 vs 3 League Games
Enjoy fast-paced, small-area games designed to improve your hockey IQ, teamwork, and puck-handling — great exercise and great fun!

✅ Adult Pick-Up Hockey Sessions 

✅ Highly supportive of women in hockey and we always do our best to provide women's only training in a safe and community environment without any pressure.  We are here to help our women hockey players grow!

🕒 Not only in earlier times during the winter season, we play all year round! So we do not Stop in March, We play in the summer.
