Finding hockey opportunities for girls and women over 18 can be surprisingly difficult. Many programs shift straight into competitive travel levels, leaving very few true house-style options for players who simply want to keep playing in a fun, supportive, and community-focused environment.
That’s why the OGHA U22 / Senior Women’s House League is such an important and unique program in Ottawa.
Designed for players from across the city, this league offers a welcoming space where athletes can continue enjoying the game they love while building skills, confidence, and lasting friendships — without elite-level pressure.
✅ Why This U22/Senior Women’s League Matters
This program is perfect for players who want to:
✅ Continue playing after U18
✅ Build skills and confidence in a positive setting
✅ Enjoy team hockey without intense competition
✅ Stay connected to the women’s hockey community
The focus is on sportsmanship, fair play, and long-term enjoyment of the game, helping keep more women involved in hockey beyond youth divisions.
Whether players are returning to the ice or continuing directly from U18, the U22/Senior House League provides an inclusive, development-focused pathway to stay active and competitive.

🔥 Why OttawaHockeyHub Is Highlighting This Program
Programs like the OGHA U22/Senior House League play a critical role in keeping women in hockey after youth divisions — and often serve as a natural pathway into adult women’s recreational and co-ed leagues later on.
At OttawaHockeyHub, we believe in supporting the entire women’s hockey ecosystem, from youth to U22 to adult beginner and recreational programs. The more pathways that exist, the more players stay in the game — and that’s a win for everyone. 💙🏒
